The Formation Tops Data are derived from the 670 Alberta cross-sections from Divesto’s Complete Raster Map Database, providing additional resources and data to expand the well formation coverage and improve formation picks.
Formation Tops Data Strengths

- Precise and consistent picks, which are routinely updated
- Comprehensive formation top estimates and infills, based on updated typelog picks
- Adds over 6 million additional formation tops to the well database including picks for over 180,000 wells where no government picks at all are available
- Stratigraphic Equivalence codes have been added for every formation in the database including government formation. This enables basin wide formation searches and instant age comparisons. Equivalence codes include Eras, Periods, Epochs and Stages.
